Established in 2009, Cub Scout Pack 910 is located in South Riding, Virginia. We are chartered by the South Riding Lion’s Club and are members of the Goose Creek District, National Capital Area Council. We have a great program for boys in first through fifth grades. Most of our members attend Liberty Elementary School, but we welcome other boys in the area who are interested in joining Cub Scouting.
We are a year-round pack that has activities throughout the school year and summer. Most of our scouts are involved in a variety of school, sport, and community activities in addition to scouting.
How Often We Meet
- The Pack meets one evening per month, usually on a Thursday
- Dens meet approximately twice a month
- The Pack also hosts many special events and activities throughout the year
Here’s a snapshot of some of the events and functions that our Pack is involved in each year:
Join Scouting Night: An opportunity to invite new families to learn about and join our Pack.
Popcorn Sales: In addition to dues, this is our major fundraiser that occurs in the fall that helps fund our Pack.
Family Campouts: Scouts, parent and siblings are invited to join the camp for some fun nights under the stars.
Scouting for Food: This is a BSA event in which the Pack collects food from our community and delivers it to a local food bank.
Pinewood Derby: A scouting tradition in which the boys make and race wooden cars.
Blue & Gold Banquet: A birthday celebration for scouting which includes dinner and entertainment for the whole family.
Advancement Ceremonies: 5th graders advance in March and the younger Scouts move up to the next rank in May.
Family Campfire Night: In April, the scout family is invited to Ticonderoga Farms for a fun evening around the fire pit.
Stemmer Day Clean-up: Our Pack helps to keep the grounds at Liberty Elementary School clean!
Star Spangled South Riding: Our Pack participates in the community 4th of July parade.
Scout Olympics: In August, the boys compete against other local Packs in some fun relays and competitions.
Summer Camp: We strongly encourage families to send their scouts to the Goose Creek District Summer Day Camp or Webelos Camp for a very fun and enriching experience.
And there are many other opportunities for the scouts to serve, learn and just have some fun!
